Polarization of self-trapped exciton luminescence in CdBr2

摘要
Decay-time and polarization measurements have been carried out on the self-trapped exciton luminescence in CdBr2. The temperature dependence of the decay-time and of the polarization ratios is explained in terms of the two-phonon Orbach process between two close lying levels responsible for the luminescence.
