Individuals' attitudes towards climate change and mitigation and adaptation strategies might have a significant influence on the development of political programs as well as on individual actions related to energy consumption. Understanding the opportunities for public engagement in climate change policy has become a matter of interest in sociology and other social sciences, as well as for public authorities and private organizations.
