摘要
Besides chemical grain refinement also physical methodes can be used in continuous casting for refining the solidifying grain structure. Especially electromagnetic stirring of the melt in the sump has become of importance. The present work reports about the design of a vertical continuous casting plant with electromagnetic stirrer for casting aluminium- and copper-alloys. Furtheron results of rheocasting of the alloys AlMgSi1 and AlSi7Mg are presented.
