HOW GREEN IS MY PRINTING INK

The author carried out an ''environmental audit'' of printing inks under several criteria which he applies successively to the various constituents of printing inks. This is followed by a similar assessment of the environmental effects of the processes of ink manufacture and printing together with those involved in the recycling of both waste inks and those from the de-inking of printed materials. In response to his rhetorical question, the author claims that printing inks are environmentally friendly.
