摘要
In a series of experiments with spores of Bacillus subtilis it was examined whether resistance to high hydrostatic pressure is transmitted from one generation of bacterial spores to another. A surviving specimen was cultivated to give an equivalent initial concentration of germs as in the anteceding experiment. This procedure was repeated. Comparison of inactivation kinetics proved that there is no decrease of sensitivity in the case of spores that were cultivated from already pressure-treated specimens.
