摘要
Iron(III) complexes with an open-chain quadridentate N2O2-ligand of the type of "acacen", "salen" and "benacen" coordinated in the equatorial plane undergo a photoreduction of Fe(III) to Fe(II) when being irradiated in methanol by ultraviolet light. Quantum yields of Fe(II) formation depend on the wavelength of excitation light and on the peripheral groups of thc equatorial ligands, but they correlate neither with Taft nor Hammett parameters of the peripheral groups.
