摘要
This study was conducted to explore the removal of Toluidine Blue O (TBO) dye from aqueous solution by Silicairon oxide (SiO2/Fe2O3) magnetic nanoparticles. SiO2/Fe2O3 nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation method and characterized by using XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX and DLS. Batch mode experiments were performed to optimize the process parameters namely pH, dye concentration, adsorbent dosage and contact time. The dye removal was 100% with 0.05 g adsorbent dose application to 10 mg/L dye solution at pH 6.5. Three adsorption isotherms namely Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin were applied to the experimental data. According to Langmuir isotherm, maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 37.4 mg/g. The kinetic results show that data obeyed second order rate equation.
