摘要
The objective of this study was to evaluate the level of nutritional knowledge of bodybuilders from the gym of St. Paul and to determine the correlation with the level of education. The sample consisted of 24 bodybuilders (12 male and 12 female). Inclusion criteria was considered only bodybuilders over 18 years and that this activity regularly practiced for more than one uninterrupted year. It was observed that the average score obtained from the QCN indicated moderate level of nutritional knowledge (9,4 +/- 1,1) and there is no difference between men and women with respect to score. Although a positive correlation between education level and QCN showed weak (r = 0.17). Thus was concluded that bodybuilders have a moderate nutritional knowledge. Even though our study does not appear in a highly positive correlation between education level and nutrition knowledge, other studies suggest the need to invest in nutrition education strategy so that we can influence the knowledge about food and nutrition information. Finally, the need to conduct more research so we can have a wide range of articles on assessments of nutritional knowledge in physical activity and sport.
