摘要
Bulk and grain boundary diffusion of indium has been studied in the vicinity of the β-γ′ transition in the SnIn system. On [001] twist boundaries near the coincidence misorientation ∑17 the β-γ′ transition temperature is essentially lower than that in the bulk and depends on the misorientation angle. The observed decrease in the phase transition temperature on grain boundaries is explained in terms of the prewetting transition on the boundaries. © 1990.
