摘要
The purpose of this work was to study the kinetics of the anodic dissolution of cast and hardened chromium with a purity of 99. 9% in ethanol solutions of hydrogen chloride, containing various additions of water (up to 20%). Preliminary investigations showed that the kinetics of the active anodic dissolution of chromium is virtually independent of the rate of rotation of the disk within the range from 0 to 1100 rpm; therefore, subsequently no attention was paid to the hydrodynamic conditions of the experiment, with the exception of cases in which this influence was substantial. According to coulometric measurements, in ethanol solutions in the region of potentials from minus 0. 42 to minus 0. 20 V the ionization of chromium proceeds with the formation of Cr**2** plus ions (effective valence 1. 8-2. 2).
