FINANCIAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT: ISSUES & CHALLENGES

Financial supply chain management is a new concept of supply chain. It is simply the flow of cash between businesses along with the supply chain, in the form of a payment between buyer, broker, carrier, third party logistics, agent and suppliers, or in the form of finance, either from a bank, financial institution or a supply chain partner willing to lend in the form of an early or extended payment. FSCM is a set of software tools and processes designed to enhance an organization's product flow, maximizing profitability and minimizing expenses. To accomplish this objective, FSCM takes advantage of principles that have proven effective in supply chain management for decades. In the present paper the author aims to discuss various issues and challenges of FSCM and to optimize the supply chain future cash flow. The objective of the paper is to identify new ways of working together on supply chain financial flows.
