The limits of collective self-determination

While appreciating the many virtues of Moore's book, I argue that Moore overstates the importance of collective self-determination as a human interest compared with other interests. In particular, I contend that Moore underappreciates the moral importance of freedom of movement and exaggerates the potential for conflict between immigration and collective self-determination in a world whose background conditions satisfy the requirements of justice.
