The Ukrainian Market in the Economic Systems of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian Empires of the Second Half of 19th - Early 20th ct. (on the Example of Sugar and Oil Industry)

One of the most essential ways of learning and knowledge exchange between scientists from different countries are academic study tours. The purpose of this article is to analyze features of foreign academic trips during the 19th - early 20th cent. organized by selected academic institutions of Naddniprianshchyna, and to find out their role and impact in establishing connections with international scientists. Partly academic trips solved the problem of internships and trainings for the beginning researchers. Internships were substantially important for establishing connections between Ukrainian academics and international educational institutions. As a result, new scientific and technical directions appeared the system of education was modernized. This remains a foundation of scientific and technical progress of our state.
