摘要
Cyclohexane oxidation with hydrogen peroxide by the GoAgg(III) system forms iron (hydr)oxide particles which are not active in the oxidation reaction. Addition of hydrochloric acid together with hydrogen peroxide reduces the hydrolysis of the iron complexes, allowing accumulation of 0.26 M of oxidized products with 100% selectivity and 44% efficiency in only 60 min of total reaction time. Perchloric acid shows a similar efficiency for avoiding hydrolysis. On the other hand, the chlorine ion is an essential ligand for the catalyst; in its absence efficiency and selectivity are significantly reduced.
