THE PATHS OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN THE TEACHING-LEARNING FORMAL SPACES: what is the role of the national policy of Environmental Education?

摘要
This paper questions how the formal education has articulated the Environmental Education in their practices of teaching and learning. Thus, from a brief history about the educational system of which we are heirs and, in parallel, providing some historical aspects on the Environmental Education, I intend to show some facts which preceded the Law 9795/99, which influenced to some form, their preparation. This view will substantiate my position, based in Loureiro (2006), that the main problem of some projects, conferences, actions, seminars, both nationally and internationally, for Environmental Education, is emptied of meaning. This is the key moment of my paper, because I question how it is being made to implement the National Policy of EA (Law 9.795/99) in our education system.
