BODY IMAGE AND THE INFLUENCES FOR THE EATING DISORDERS IN THE YOUNG ADOLESCENTS

摘要
Objective: The objective of the present work was to verify the perception of the body image of the adolescents (degree of distortion with the body image and the influences to the eating disorders). Methods: 21 adolescents of the feminine sex participate of the study, with ages of 14 to 20 years. Using evaluation of the nutricional state (IMC) and application of a suitable scale of body satisfaction and a questionnaire of body image (BSQ). 9.6% of the studied girls had presented nutritional status of thinness, 80.95% normality and 9.5% overweight/obesity. 33.33% of the young adolescents identified body distortion. Conclusion: the conclusion for the studied population is that the media intervenes with the distortion and body image. The possible generating reasons of the body distortion in the adolescence in level of public health, are defined for the pressure of media, social influences and parental and friends negative influences.
