摘要
the microstructure of grain boundaries in Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets has been investigated by means of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) in order to clarify the appearance of the "bcc gain boundary phase" reported earlier. No phase with bcc structure in TEM samples prepared by ion thinning in high vacuum has been observed but an amorphous like phase without bcc structure form on both surfaces of a TEM sample during ion bombardment for thinning. Heating of the samples under the presence of oxygen induces the precipitates of bcc microcrystals int he amorphous like phase. This clearly suggest that the "bcc boundary phase" is formed through the preparation procedure of TEM samples.
