摘要
For a flat and smooth 1:4 slope, experimental tests were carried out in a 1:10 model with wave heights up to 0. 25 m and in the 'Grosser Wellenkanal' GWK (Big Wave Channel) with wave heights up to 2. 5 m. In agreement with theory, the probability distributions of the wave impact pressures as log-normal functions were found to be the same in the model and in the prototype. With respect to scale effects it was found that pressures from smaller waves scaled up towards prototype according to Froude are relatively higher than those measured at prototype scale. This means that results obtained in small-scale tests lie on the safe side. With respect to wave run-up scale effects were found to be negligible.
