A MODIFIED HOLSTEIN-PRIMAKOFF APPROACH TO FRUSTRATED QUANTUM SPIN SYSTEMS

摘要：

A simple modification of conventional spin-wave theory based on the Holstein-Primakoff transformation is investigated. On the basis of a comparison with exact results on finite lattices it is shown to give substantially improved results, especially for highly frustrated systems.
