Methods of Complementary and Alternative Medicine In Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) includes certain measures aimed at the prevention of further development of major cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Everywhere, patient awareness of CR appears to be low. This paper attempts to raise the awareness of patients to CR and proposes the implementation of some complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) methods. This report presents some of the basic CAM methods, including discussions on the possibility of the application of certain other CAM methods including yoga, tai chi, qigong, acupuncture therapy, music therapy in CR.
