Do your patients wear seat belts? Do they know about options for quitting smoking? Primary care physicians can readily provide valuable information and preventive services to help patients avoid illness or injury and improve overall health. The authors discuss integration of preventive and curative medicine and offer recommendations for implementing preventive services in primary care practice.
