CINEMA AND IDENTITY

We want to find a good definition for the concept Spanish Cinema. We describe the way to analyse the Spanish cultural identity through its cinema. Identity is something gradually built and easily shown after the conquest of a territory. At first, literature helped this identity to be forged. Then, mass media, and cinema in special, join their efforts to tell the stories that support this national identity. There is an administrative cinema which is traditionally studied in history handbooks.
