DIFFERENTIAL CROSS-SECTIONS FOR INELASTIC-SCATTERING OF ELECTRONS FROM ATOMIC OXYGEN

摘要
We calculated differential cross sections for excitation of the 3s 5S-degrees, 3p 5P, 3d 5D-degrees, 3d 3D-degrees, and 3s' 3D-degrees states of atomic oxygen by electron impact using the R-matrix method in the energy region from 13.9 to 50 eV. We included twelve LS states (2p4 3P, 3s 5,3S-degrees, 3p 5,3P, 4S 5,3S-degrees, 3d 5,3D-degrees, 4p 5,3P, and 3s' 3D-degrees) in the R-matrix expansion. The calculated results are generally in good agreement with the available experiments, except for the 3P-3s 5S-degrees and 3P-3d 3D-degrees transitions at 30 eV where calculated values are larger than the measurement.
