摘要
The influence of gamma irradiation on electrical properties of ethylene-propylene copolymer (EPR) and ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPDM) has been studied. Significant changes of dielectric constant, dielectric loss and volume resistivity were obtained. Various degrading environments: air, distilled water, aqueous solutions of sodium chloride were used. Irradiation of polymer specimens was carried out at room temperature up to γ-dose of 0.5 MGy. Time dependence of volume resistivity emphasises the influence of gel content on the movement of electrical charges produced during irradiation.
