Silver nanocomposites based on copolymers of N,N-diallyl-N’-acetylhydrazine with N-vinylpyrrolidone

A method was developed for the preparation of polymer silver nanocomposites using copolymer of N, N-diallyl-N’-acetylliydrazine with N-vinylpyrrolidone as reducing agent for silver ions and stabilizer of the obtained nanoparticles in an aqueous-alcoholic and aqueous medium. The obtained polymer nanocomposites consist of isolated silver nanoparticles having predominantly spherical shapes and diameters of 5 to 30 nm. The dependence of particle size on the medium and the concentration of silver ions was observed. The structural features of the nanocomposites were investigated using UV, IR, NMR spectroscopy, SEM microscopy, and powder X-ray diffraction.
