摘要
In this study, the creep behavior for cohesive soils was predicted using a recently developed empirical function and a general overstress theory. The model based on overstress theory was slightly modified for application and obvious comparison. The predictions were compared and investigated with the experimental results. Both models could not predict the undrained creep rupture but they provided general agreement with the experimental results until the elapsed time when creep rupture occurred. The empirical model deserves further research with keeping its advantages of simple mathematical formation and few parameters.
