The results of an investigation of the functioning of recorders of synchronized measurements of electromagnetic transients on the Pugachi - Akbulak 110 kV overhead transmission lines (a branch of the JSC "IDGC of Volga" - "Orenburgénergo") when checking the technical characteristics of oil-filled circuit breakers and when determining the location of a fault on the line by the wave method of bilateral measurements are presented. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
