Let K be a field of characteristic zero. Let A be a finite-dimensional algebra over K, not necessarily commutative or associative, and let D(A) be the noncommutative duplicate of A. We give here a characterization of the subalgebra A2 of A when D(A) is Lie-admissible and A2 is flexible, power-associative, but not a nilalgebra.
