摘要：
The development of modern spectroscopy is summarized from Bunsen’s detection of atoms as the beginning of spectral analysis to modern molecular spectroscopies including new high resolution techniques for molecular ions. Recent experiments involving long range charge migration in peptides and proteins are outlined.
