Numerical simulation of a nonstationary flow in the vicinity of a hypersonic vehicle

摘要
The nonstationary flow around the forebody of a hypersonic vehicle is studied by using a numerical simulation based on quasi-gas dynamic equations. The frequency spectrum of oscillations occurring during the laminar-turbulent transition is analyzed. The main frequencies of the computed oscillations correspond to data obtained by a linear analysis of the given flow. The 3D computations are carried out by a massively parallel computer.
