A study on carbon-coated LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 cathode material for lithium secondary batteries

摘要
The surface of LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 was coated with amorphous carbon to enhance the conductivity of the material. Electrochemical studies were performed by assembling 2032 coin cells with lithium metal as an anode. When carbon was coated on the surface, the LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 cathode material showed an improved rate capability, thermal stability, and cycle performance.
