A nonlinear method of measuring the amplitude-frequency characteristic of an acoustic emitter

A method is considered for measuring the amplitude-frequency characteristic of a sound source based on the nonlinear interaction of two pumping waves with close frequencies, which excludes the necessity of a sound receiver with a known frequency sensitivity dependence. The amplitude-frequency characteristic of the emitter is determined from the measured dependence of the wave amplitude of the differential frequency on the mean pumping frequency under the condition that the differential frequency remains unchanged. The possibility of determining the emitter parameters is demonstrated (Q-factor, passband) with-out finding the amplitude-frequency characteristic. The method is implemented in an automatic mode.
