摘要
Urine concentration is routinely measured in veterinary practice with urine-specific gravity (USG); in spite of the fact that in human medicine urine osmolarity is the gold standard to determine urine concentration. This study explores the relationship of feline USG and urine osmolarity in healthy cats. The results of this study suggest a significant relationship between USG and urine osmolarity. This study justifies the use of USG as a measure of urine concentration in daily feline practice. © 2012 Springer-Verlag London.
