A laser-assisted trainer for swimmers

摘要：
A fundamentally new method for guiding a sportsman-swimmer on the distance and correcting his (her) speed using a laser is described. This method does not call for placing systems along the full length of the swimming track. The possibility of using this new method has been demonstrated by testing the pilot sample of the trainer. As compared with previous analogs, the mounting time of the unit is reduced by 95%, and its weight is decreased by 93%.
