Identification criteria for vortex structures in a deformed solid

摘要
The paper considers algorithms of automatic identification of vortex structures arising in a deformed solid. The initial vector fields characterizing the deformation of a solid are obtained by the digital image correlation method. Circulation and a functional related to vector and radius vector orthogonality are proposed for use as vortex identification criteria. The application of these criteria is considered on the example of model vector fields with rotational and irrotational vortices. The operation of the algorithms is exemplified by displacement fields for material flow in a silicon-manganese steel weld. The role of finite sizes of a sliding window is demonstrated. Additional criteria to assist vortex structure identification are proposed.
