Effect of annealing modes after electroplastic deformation on the structure and microhardness of a TiNi alloy

The influence of annealing modes on the structure and microhardness of alloy Ti49.3Ni50.7 deformed by electroplastic rolling is studied. An optimum mode of post-deformation heat treatment for combining high microhardness and homogeneous nanostructure is determined. It is shown that the difference in the degree of accumulated strain affects insignificantly the level of the microhardness and the grain size after annealing.
