A passive TE mode phase shifter-based compact structure of optical Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI) using silicon-on-insulator (SOI) platform is demonstrated by using BPM simulations. Insertion loss was found, that is 9 dB for 3 μ\documentclass[12pt]{minimal}
