摘要
Estimation of DNA content in individual chromosomes and their arms was carried out in the primary root meristems of Allium cepa L. var Local, (2n = 16) using an Image Analysis System following Feulgen staining. Regression analysis revealed that fifth and seventh chromosomes had higher DNA contents relative to their chromosomal lengths while the 1st, 2nd and 4th chromosomes had less DNA contents than those expected on the basis of length.
