Abstract—: The article considers adaptation of the economy to the conditions of carbon neutrality, analyzes modern approaches to assessing efficiency of investment projects, and proposes a modification of the discounted cash flow method with adjustments for a carbon tax and pollution charges. The approach is tested on the example of PAO Rosneft. The forecast shows that investments in green energy allow reaching expected profitability levels only in the last year of project implementation. © 2023, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
