摘要：
A review with 29 refs. covering utilization of glycerol formed as a by-product in the MeOH transesterification of vegetable oils, esp. Authors' original process (route (glycerol + isobutene) (to) for making t-butyl and/or t-amyl ethers proved to be highly effective as additives used in gasolines, fuel oils, and biodiesels.
