摘要
University continuing education deserves considerable attention in the debate about lifelong learning. It not only provides an enhancement of knowledge for practice, but also its validation and revision. Several studies show consistently that universities adapt this topic only hesitantly. One reason for this might be that the expectations in university continuing education are characterized by contradictions, which are reflected upon neither empirically nor theoretically. Based on these contradictions research perspectives are derived. Finally, an integrated approach for university continuing education - Integrated Practice - is introduced, which meets scientific as well as practical requirements.
