摘要
This paper discusses the issues surrounding voltage control on modem distribution networks. Factors such as increased loading and distributed generation contribute to the difficulty in maintaining steady state voltages within limits dictated by statute. The degree to which the effects of such factors can be remedied depends on the amount of money available to implement remedial measures. Mitigation of the effects of these factors is no longer wholly within the responsibility of the utility since many power systems are now subject to the authority of an independent regulator. Since the distribution system is no longer a primarily passive system, the approach to design may need to move more towards that of the transmission system.
