Separation of dendrimer-encapsulated Au and Ag nanoparticles by selective extraction

摘要
A mixture of monometallic Ag and Au dendrimer-encapsulated nanoparticles (DENs) has been separated by selective extraction, which relies on sequential orthogonal assembly of different ligands onto the surface of the two metals. The DENs extract as monolayer-protected clu1sters (MPCs) that have the same size and optical properties as the original DENs.
