On the origin of geochemical anomaly in phenols on the surface of the bottom sediments over the Central Barents Sea Rise

摘要
Geochemical anomalies in phenols, nickel, and cobalt were revealed on the surface of the bottom sediments over the Central Barents Sea Rise. Proceeding from analyzing the mineral composition of sediments and the geochemical properties of the organic matter and considering the paleogeographic environment in the surveyed waters, the authors suggest that the revealed anomalies stem from the natural evolution of matter, during which certain restraints emerged that prevent a negative effect of some chemical components on the benthic population in the surveyed waters.
