Research on automated recognizing and interpreting architectural drawings

Automated recognizing and interpreting engineering drawings can bring lots of convenience in architectural area. In this article, we discuss dimension analysis, which is taken into account dimensions global relationship and integrate discrete dimensions into one global coordinate system to locate graphical parts precisely. And then present several methods combined with semantic analysis implemented in symbol recognition and give a brief overview of our way to reconstruct 3-D models, finally perspectives and open problems in our system are proposed.
