Investigation of high- and low-frequency electrostatic oscillations in multishell fullerenes

摘要
A theoretical analysis of the high- and low-frequency electrostatic oscillations in multishell fullerenes is presented within the framework of the fluid theory in conjunction with Poisson's equation. The electron and ion components of each shell of fullerenes are regarded as the two-species plasma system, in which the perturbed electron number density is deduced by means of the quantum hydrodynamic model, while the ion density perturbation follows the classical expression. Analytical expressions of the dispersion relations are obtained for the plasmon and quantum ion-acoustic wave oscillations in the system.
