The Trajectory of the Technical School in the Municipal Health Department of Sao Paulo

This presentation provides a brief historical report on the creation of Escola Tecnica do SUS (ETSUS - Technical School of the National Health System) of the municipality of Sao Paulo (ETSUS-SP). The report initially approaches the decade of 1990, with the creation of the Center for Health Workers Education, directly connected with the CRH-G (Human Resources Management) of the Municipal Health Department. In its structure, the education nucleus starts to be called and materializes, in 2003, the school: ETSUS-SP. The presentation approaches some aspects of the school's political-pedagogical project. It highlights its organizational structure, which prioritizes the five macro-regions of the municipality, respecting the local organization but always in light of the objective: discussing the daily working routine and forming critical and creative professionals, promoting concrete changes in this working routine.
