摘要
The recent developments in sensor and transmitter intelligence and communication have led to the advancements in the pH-sensor technologies. The sensors with an embedded memory chip are gaining increased popularity. The pH sensor that can carry the factory calibration, serial number and several diagnostics data can ease the maintenance. The smart sensor does not need buffer calibration at the installation point eliminating the need to carry the buffers, beakers and rinse water to the place by the service engineer where the sensor is installed. The calibration can be done in the laboratory and can be remotely or locally digitally accessible after installation. The advanced diagnostics that is stored inside the sensor and being able to transmit them wirelessly from the analyzer eliminates the need of wiring the transmitters to the main control room. The pH measurement can be wirelessly transmitted from the most difficult and remote location to a main computer.
