Pion photo-production and the off-shell behavior of the πN interaction

摘要：
It is shown that the pion photo-production reaction is extremely sensitive to the off the momentum-shell behavior of the pi N interaction. The ambiguity in the pi N interaction off the momentum-shell is shown to be introduced, to a large extent, by the hadronic form factors required in the meson-theoretic model in order to account for the composite nature oi the hadrons. The pion photo-production reaction, therefore, probes these hadronic form factors.
