摘要
Physical-chemical modeling of the process of formation of a geochemical barrier while mixing the waters of various origins (riverine and marine) was performed with the use of the formalism of chemical thermodynamics. As a result, sharp changes in the pH, Eh, ionic strength, and mineralization values were simulated, which may be regarded as a geochemical barrier. The geochemical barrier obtained in the simulations is only controlled by physical-chemical factors (since the modeling itself is based on the laws of chemical thermodynamics) related to the chemical processes going on in the solution. It is suggested that, under natural conditions, the formation of the geochemical barrier in a mixing zone is mostly caused by physical-chemical reasons.
